About Clay County
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Clay County, Florida has a total land area of 644 square miles and is mostly rural in nature. County population in 2016: 208,311 (85% urban, 15% rural); it was 140,814 in 2000. Now, 2019 it is in a population boom.
It borders the St. Johns River (St. Johns County) on the East, Duval County, on the North, Putnam County on the South, Bradford County on the West, with Baker County to the North West.
There are so many other websites that give information about Clay County, that rather than repeat all that has gone before, this site will be a clearing house of information of a genealogical interest.
