Nalepa, Paul
(April 3, 1925 - December 1, 2011) Paul Nalepa, 86, of Middleburg, FL passed away December 1, 2011. He was born on April 3, 1925 in Marysville, MI to Cyril and Katrina Nalepa. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII and had received several medals including the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. He retired from the St. Clair County Road Commission in St. Clair, MI. Mr. Nalepa was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a 4th Degree Member in The Father Masse Chapter and had been Grand Knight of Bishop Barry Council. Mr. Nalepa was predeceased by his parents and a son, Paul Thomas Nalepa. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elsie Nalepa; sons, David J. Nalepa of Orange Park, FL, Daniel A. (Amy) Nalepa, Craig (Sherei) Nalepa, both of Middleburg, FL; daughters, Linda (Gary) Smith of Orange Park, FL, Cynthia (Donald) Holzberger of Rockledge, FL, Carol (Terry) Beach and Sandra (David) Maveety both of Orange Park, FL and Brenda (Charles Jr.) Ely of Ada, MI; brother, Cyril Nalepa of Port Huron, MI; sisters, Elizabeth Visga of Smiths Creek, MI and Helen Diesing of Daytona Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with a Vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Father Andy Blaszkowski will officiate. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 pm Monday, December 5, 2011 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1606 Blanding Blvd., Middleburg, FL 32068. Father Andy Blaszkowski will be the celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in the Jacksonville National Cemetery. NAPOLI, SGT. TIA NICOLE
Sgt. Tia Nicole Napoli, 25, passed away on June 10, 2011 in Cottonton, Alabama. She was born in Columbia, SC and was a member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. She was Active Duty in the U.S. Army, 463rd Medical Detachment, 14th Combat Support Hospital, 44th Medical Brigade, Fort Benning, Ga. She is predeceased by her father, Dominick Napoli and is survived by her mother and step-father, Claudia and Dennis Johnson; 2 brothers: Paul (Rachel) Napoli and William Napoli; 2 sisters: Theresa (Jeffrey) Widdmann and Sally (J.T.) Francis; step-sister, Hope (Charlie) Gartman; nieces: Hollien, Giovonia, Sarai and Tori; nephews: Roman, Cameron, Benjamin, Caleb, Matthew and Brady; boyfriend: Josh Rassield; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18 at Ridgewood Baptist Church with Deacon Ben Hickey officiating. Burial was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Middleburg with full military honors. Mr. Norman "Tim" Nedrow, 72, passed away on Dec. 27, 2004. He was born in Mansfield, OH. and resided in Middleburg for 23 years. Mr. Nedrow served in the US Air Force and retired from ERA-Moneyhan Realty. NELSON, JEFFREY JAMES
October 4, 1948 - September 30, 2011 U.S. Veteran Jeffrey James Nelson, 62, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011. He was born on October 4, 1948 in Trenton, NJ to parents, Frederick and Jane Nelson. Mr. Nelson was a Vietnam War Veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He had worked as a systems analyst and will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Pam Nelson; daughter, Melissa Nelson Saunders (Ben); brother, John Nelson (Susan); grandchildren, Zeb and Zoe Saunders and niece and nephew, Lily and Jack Nelson. NELSON, JOHN “JACK” WOODSON
John (Jack) Woodson Nelson, 93 of Keystone Heights, Florida peacefully passed away at his home at Park of the Palms on September 21, 2011. Jack was born a twin in Sedalia, Missouri in 1918. He proudly served as a Chief Petty officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. The Nelsons moved to Keystone Heights Florida in 1973. Jack joined St. William’s Catholic Church in Keystone Heights where he was a member for more than 25 years. NELSON, WILBERT HAROLD
Mr. Wilbert Harold Nelson 92, of Keystone Heights passed away Thursday January 13, 2011, in Starke. He was born on June 1, 1918, in Summerhill, Pa.; he had served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He knew all the basic Infantry weapons, and was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, European-Middle-Eastern Service Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. Prior to his retirement he was an Air Conditioner Engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve and their daughter, Linda McLellan. Survivors are his daughters, Debbie Taylor (J.P.), Lois Toth (Steve), and Joan Sarrant; Son in law, Gordon McLellan; twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 20 at 4 p.m. at the Keystone Heights Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Penrod officiating. NEWTON, HAZEL ELLIOTT
Hazel Elliott Newton, age 90, of Keystone Heights, passed away peacefully at Haven Hospice York Care, in Gainesville, Saturday September 3, 2011. Mrs. Newton was born October 2, 1920 in Georgia to the late William Elliott and Annie Lou McMullen and lived in Jacksonville for the majority of her life. She was a loving wife and mother, whose lifelong work, was her home and family. Hazel enjoyed cooking, crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Mr. Ellis E. Newton and is survived by her children; W. Earl Newton of Jacksonville, Fl., Elaine Perry of Keystone Heights, Gloria Driver of Tupelo, Ms., Steve Newton (Ellen) of Jacksonville, Fl. and Ike Newton; also her two brothers, Robert Elliott of Lakeland, FL., John Elliott of Barwick, Ga., 13 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Cora Frisbee Neyman age 84, of Green Cove Springs passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Signature Health Care of Orange Park. Mrs. Neyman was born on September 3, 1927 in Middleburg to the late Alonzo and Leona Moore Frisbee and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Neyman was a homemaker and member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Miss Christina Lea Nietman, 21, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, following a tragic car accident. She was born on September 15, 1987, in Orlando, Fla., and moved to Green Cove Springs thirteen years ago. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved butterflies and will be remembered for being a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Russell Nietman; and Harold; and Betty Bailey; and aunt, Vivian Reeves. Nolan, Shannon Michael
Shannon Michael Nolan, 48, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012. He was born on May 12, 1963 in San Diego, CA to parents Vernon and Gloria (Jones) Nolan. Mr. Nolan moved to the local area in 1973 from Rhode Island. Shannon was of the Christian faith. He was known to be an artist, who loved to draw and take care of his plants. In his spare time he would build beautiful cabinets to display his collections. Shannon will always be remembered as having a good sense of humor and a great heart. He is survived by both of his parents; brother, Sean Nolan (Libby), sisters, Deia “Dee” Lynn Strauss and Sherry Kirksey (Steve). Norman, Donald Gene
Donald Gene Norman, 46, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on January 7, 2012. He was born in East Prairie, MO on October 14, 1965 to parents Woodroe and Willie Bea Norman. Donald has lived in Green Cove Springs for the past 16 years moving here from South Florida in 1996. One of his greatest accomplishments was achieving finish operator on heavy equipment, but his passion was working on the backhoe. He enjoyed fishing, football and NASCAR racing. Donald loved riding his motorcycle and enjoying the sunshine on his front porch. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Donald is survived by his mother, Willie Bea Norman; brothers, Jimmy (Danielle) Norman and Danny Norman; sister, Debbie (Bill) Dupree; girlfriend, Lisa Stewart and his companion his dog “Gee”. NORRIS, DOROTHY C.
Mrs. Dorothy C. Norris, 99, of Silver Spring, MD, went to the lord peacefully in her sleep on Monday May 2, 2011 in Fleming Island, Fla. She was born on May 5, 1911 in Alexandria, VA to William and Attie Colklesser. She married the love of her life George Stanley Norris on September 3, 1932 in Ellicott City, MD. She worked at the U.S. Census Bureau for 10 years and then devoted 40 years of volunteer service to The American Red Cross, including more than 12,000 hours as a Grey Lady Volunteer at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. After retiring she and her husband traveled the world and you could spend hours with her as she loved to recall and talk about those great memories from all of the countries that they visited. She was a devoted Baptist and loved to eat crab cakes at Phillips Crab House in Ocean City, Maryland and she also loved the Washington Redskins. She was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Norris; son Stanley D. Norris; and her brother Claude Colklesser. She is survived by her loving granddaughter, Donna Norris West of Raleigh NC; grandson, Stephen D. Norris and his wife Camala D. Norris of Middleburg; great-grandchildren Nicholas Norris of Middleburg; Cassidy D. Gold and her husband Bernard Gold; and great-great grandson, Chase A. Gold; all of Orange Park; by her Daughter-in-law, Norma L. Dannettel of Raleigh NC, who spent many years lovingly caring for her. Notably, she was also a breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The American Red Cross. A special heart filled thanks to the nurses and staff at The Terrace at Fleming Island where she was welcomed in as family and received excellent and devoted care since 2007. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and survivor. Services were held on Monday May 9 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Rockville, Md.; where she was laid to rest beside her husband George.

Norris, James R. Jr.
James R. Norris, Jr., 77, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from cancer. He was born on February 16, 1934 in Sycamore Creek, WV to parents, James and Lena Norris. Mr. Norris was retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. He was a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran. Following his military service he worked for Civil Service locally as a Flight Simulator Trainer and retired from NAS Jacksonville. He had lived in the local area since 1968 and was of the Methodist faith. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed wood working, leather work, college football (especially the Seminoles) and NASCAR (he rooted for Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr.). Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Lois N. Bosley Norris; sons, Roy C. Norris, Mark D. Norris and Thomas R. Bush (Norris) and his wife, Faye; daughter, Tonda L. Norris; sister, Laura L. Southern; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rick Howard officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 noon until service time. NULL, BARBARA ANN
Mrs. Barbara Ann Null, 70, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 7, 2011 in Orange Park, Fla. She was born April 26, 1941 to Joseph and Frances Flemming Rodgers in Lewistown, Pa. She was a CNA and had retired from Moosehaven after 13 years of service. She had moved to Alabama in 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Thomas Null, Sr. in 2005 and a daughter, Charlene Ann Null in 2003. She is survived by daughter, Frances E. Null; son, Clifford T. (Amber) Null Jr.; brother, Joseph (Sylvia) Rodgers; grandchildren, David, Bridget, Shawn, Dallas, Hannah, Skylar and Payton. Other family members include James (Donna), James II (Angel), Bernadette, Christina, Krystal, Breanna, Eric and Sierra Greathouse; numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
